It’s time to introduce you to the ruler of Virgo! I pulled this card the day before Virgo season began, on the blue moon in aquarius and I’ve been spending the last week and a half in a quiet and humble reflection.

People think of the hermit as an introverted card but it’s introspective. Virgos are not necessarily introverts. We are garrulous (and quarreling if need be). Ruled by Mercury we think and talk a lot. Because we pick up on so many peoples emotions we often need time to go inward and process what is our vs yours. We also are healers of the zodiac—drained by others for our ability to help. Self effacing, avoiding of spotlight, deliberate, meticulous. The Hermit reminds us it’s ok to take time for ourselves. To do our work then let go. Help others then give back to ourself, and vice versa. Time in solitude is necessary for us to remain functional and helpful.

In social media culture, we feel pressure to show ourselves constantly. You can hide out. You can also give for the sake of giving without making a fuss about it. I’ve been making a daily gratitude list every morning and evening and reflecting on the day before I go to sleep. Breathe. Pause. Ask for help.
